I truly certify that Mr Alexander Lene took a passage from Hong-Kong to England in H.M.S. "Columbine", and that during the time which he has passed on board his health has not been in the slightest degree benefited by the change of air and scene, as was expected by his friends in Hong Kong. He is at present in a very feeble state, suffering from repeated attacks of acute Rheumatism,

It is my opinion that he requires a protracted residence in England, in some place where he can have the benefit of Sulphur baths.
